Health and Safety Policy

Basic Principle

In order to continue "creating value" and to ensure the happiness of each and every employee and the future of society, we recognize that workplace safety and employee health are the foundation of our corporate activities and an important management issue, and we will promote the creation of a safe, secure, healthy and hygienic working environment and eradicate work-related injuries and illnesses.

Basic Policy

In order to create a safe and healthy working environment, we will set safety and health targets and key measures as part of our efforts to prevent occupational injuries and illnesses. With the cooperation of all employees, we aim to build a voluntary safety and health culture that can reduce daily risks and achieve continuous improvement.

  • 1. We will promote safety and health activities with the goals of eliminating dangers and harmful risks, achieving "zero" workplace accidents (occurrences), "zero" occupational health disorders (occurrences), and promoting mental health for all employees.
  • 2. We will promote health management to proactively support the self-directed maintenance and improvement of health among all officers, employees, group companies, and business partners.
  • 3. Provide leadership in and support the establishment, operation, and improvement of the Mitsui Occupational Safety and Health Management System (compliant with ISO 45001).
  • 4. Promote safety and health activities based on legal compliance and continuous improvement activities.

The health and safety policy will be made known to all directors, employees, group companies and business partners working at the company, and will also be made public outside the company.

Safety Management General Manager Policy

Objective:                                                                                                                                                                                                      ・To aim for zero work-related injuries and to create a safe and healthy workplace through health management initiatives.
Reduce the environmental impact of our business activities and promote environmental contributions to society.

Basic Policy

  • 1. We will take safety precautions so that our directors, employees and business partners can work with peace of mind, strive to ensure safety and promote their physical and mental health on a daily basis.
  • 2. In order to fulfill our social environmental responsibilities, we will consider environmental conservation in all aspects of our business activities.
  • 3. We will comply with all relevant laws and regulations, as well as safety, health, and environmental regulations established by our company.
  • 4. We will promote management systems (environment and safety and health) and health management, and work to create a "safe and healthy working environment" and "contribute to the environment" by raising the awareness of each individual.

Priority Measures

  • 1. Change to voluntary safety activities: Deepen understanding of the purpose based on the definition of activity levels and encourage behavioral change
  • 2. Strengthening natural disaster/BCP measures: Prepare for and reinforce events, and improve the level through training
  • 3. Promoting chemical substance management: Establishing self-reliant management of chemical substances and promoting the prevention of health problems
  • 4. Voluntary promotion of management systems: Promoting activities in line with business operations, responding to changes, and improving the quality of internal audits

Promotion of Health Management

Mitsui High-tec, Inc. has been certified as a "2025 Health and Productivity Management Excellent Corporation (Large Corporation Category)."

We aim to continue providing a safe and secure working environment and maintaining and improving the physical and mental health of each employee so that they can continue to feel motivated and work with enthusiasm.

The Health and Productivity Management Excellent Corporation Certification System was established by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry with the aim of creating an environment in which companies that are practicing particularly excellent health and productivity management can receive social recognition by making them visible.

About our health management

  • 1. Purpose

    We aim to increase productivity and build a foundation for the sustainable growth of the company by creating a safe and secure working environment and maintaining and improving the physical and mental health of each employee so that they can feel motivated and work with enthusiasm.
  • 2. Structure

    Under the health and productivity management promotion system headed by the President, the Health Management Office, which is the main promoter of the initiative, will share issues with the Human Resources Department and then work with the Health Insurance Association to address health issues together with each business division and Group company.

    The management issue that health management aims to solve is to improve employee satisfaction and increase individual productivity. To achieve this, we aim to reduce absenteeism and presenteeism due to ill health or illness, as well as improve work engagement.
