Basic Information

Tooling is a general term for a model made primarily from metal materials that utilizes the plasticity or fluidity of the material to form and process it into a product.
It is known as the "father of the product" because it enables cheap and stable mass production.
Since our founding, we have been involved in the development of new products for a variety of customers while manufacturing and selling ultra-precision press Tooling.
The applications are diverse, including eco-friendly cars, home appliances, industrial machinery, and semiconductors, and we have contributed behind the scenes to the spread of "products that are useful to people around the world." We will continue to pass on our technology and dedication to ultra-Precision tooling making, and contribute to the realization of a sustainable society by helping our customers develop new products as their "partner in new product development."

    Tooling for motor cores

    There are many products around us that are equipped with motors. Our Tooling are used to produce motor core, which are the main components that make up motors. We work with our customers from the development stage onwards to achieve the performance that the world needs, such as high efficiency and energy saving.

  • Tooling for leadframes

    leadframe are an essential material for semiconductor packages, and play a role in mechanically connecting IC chips to substrates. Our company was the first in the world to achieve mass production of leadframe using Tooling. Even now, we continue to develop new technologies to meet the needs of our customers.
    *We supply leadframe, not Tooling for leadframe.

  • 02 Tooling Device

    MAC System

    An abbreviation for Mitsui Automatic Core Assembly System, a system developed by Mitsui High-tec to improve motor core productivity.
    From punching to weighing, lamination and crimping, all steps can be performed automatically, making it possible to significantly shorten motor core manufacturing process.
    In addition, by combining our Tooling for motor cores with the MAC system, it is possible to create more precise and complex products, thereby contributing to the realization of our customers' new products.

01 "Ultra-Precision tooling"

Mitsui High-tec 's Tooling are completed by craftsmen assembling each of the several thousand component parts.
Finishing all parts with high precision and quality is the key to avoiding problems with Tooling and extending their lifespan. This is made possible by Mitsui High-tec 's Ultra-precision technology.
Our Tooling parts are manufactured according to the dimensions of the part drawings, so there is no need to match the actual product. Even if the part is damaged due to an unexpected problem, it can be fixed by simply replacing the part, allowing us to achieve "stable mass production."

02 "Technology and Attention to Detail"

For Tooling processing, which requires strict precision, it is necessary to accumulate "skills" through training of excellent technicians and transform them into "technology" that can be expressed as data. With the Tooling manufacturing know-how we have cultivated since our founding and the Ultra-precision technology technology we have established, we are able to supply high-precision, high-quality Tooling.
Furthermore, our dedicated Tooling manufacturing factory is fully equipped with various processing equipment, and by maintaining a constant temperature, humidity and clean environment within the factory, we are able to maintain the highest level of precision and quality.

Evaluation of our technology

Mitsui High-tec has produced many recipients of various awards in recognition of its many years of contributions in technology, skills, inventions, improvements, and more.
In particular, six people have been awarded the Yellow Ribbon Medal * since 1997, and their dedication to improving their skills and passing on their skills to the next generation are highly regarded.
*The Yellow Ribbon Medal is awarded to individuals who have demonstrated exemplary skills and achievements in the field of industry, commerce, agriculture, etc.

  • Registered as an important historical resource for science and technology

    In 2019, two Tooling manufactured by our company in 1974 and 1975 were registered as Important Historical Materials of Science and Technology (nicknamed Future Technology Heritage) by the National Museum of Nature and Science.

    What is Future Technology Heritage?

    1. Those that demonstrate important achievements in the development of science and technology (including industrial technology) and are of great significance in terms of passing them on to future generations
    2. Something that has had a significant impact on the state of national life, economy, society, and culture.

  • Tooling technology that supported mass production of home appliance motors Registration number 00281

    The ultra-high-speed Tooling was developed to significantly improve productivity in order to meet the increasing demand for motor core, and achieved a press punching speed five times faster than conventional methods. *In 1974, the products produced were not lamination products but bulk products.

    The MAC No. 1 machine was the first in Japan to be commercialized as a groundbreaking automatic lamination Tooling that punches out motor core inside Tooling, lamination in any number of layers, and sends the cores out of Tooling in a bound state.
