Founder's comment
In 1949, I founded MITSUI MFG. CO., LTD. specialized in the manufacture of dies and developed its business from motors for home electric appliances, semiconductor leadframes and IC leadframe assembly, answering the needs of customers in various fields. At present, in order to answer the needs of new customers, our company is developing new business of precision tooling and stamping for hybrid cars.

Until now, for the purpose of pursuing energy saving and resource saving, I have realized various things that were thought impossible,

such as:

  • Development of tungsten carbide die capable of stamping 100 million pieces (in 1958)

  • Development of die for stamping IC leadframes (in 1965)

  • Opening of an expatriate office in Chicago (in 1966)

  • Establishing of an overseas factory, Mitsui High-tec Singapore (in 1972)

  • Development of MAC (Mitsui Automatic Core assembly) system (in 1974)

  • Start of single-frame etching for IC leadframes (in 1985)

  • Start of continuous etching for IC leadframes by internally manufactured equipment (in 1990)

  • Establishing of overseas production base of etching, starting from Malaysia (in 1996)

  • Establishing of ninth overseas factory in Thailand (in 1999)

  • Production of Φ2.7mm motor core by MAC system (in 2000)

  • Development of MAC system corresponding to thin steel sheet of 0.15mm thickness (in 2001)

  • Development of precision MAC stamping tool for Φ330mm hybrid motor (in 2002)

  • Start of MAC stamping for hybrid motors (in 2003)

Mitsui High-tec will develop its base technology, that is, precision tooling technology in order to produce the products that meet the needs of the times.
